If you’re having trouble connecting to an EMIS GP practice follow these steps.

  1. Check the error message - this will tell you why you’re unable to connect.

Error message - “user not found” means your credentials are not stored in Joy correctly. Please use this guide and/or the video to set up your connection.

Please note: You will need to do this with each Emis practice.

Error message - “User does not have access rights to use this function” this means there is an error with your permissions inside EMIS.

  1. If you are confident that your credentials are accurate in Joy, please contact the GP surgery and liaise with the practice manager about ensuring you have the permissions you need inside EMIS.
